About Marcel Miu, CFA, CFP®
You got the RSU vest notification, watched the shares hit your brokerage account, and did nothing because you weren't sure whether to sell or hold. You exercised stock options last year and the tax bill was double what you expected. You've told yourself for three years that you'll sit down and figure out whether early retirement is actually possible, but the spreadsheet keeps getting pushed to next weekend. Meanwhile, every quarter that passes without a real plan is quietly costing you. That's the exact problem Simplify Wealth Planning (SWP) was built to solve.
Most of our clients work at companies you'd recognize in tech, biotech, financial services, and consumer brands, earning $150k to $500k+ (and company stock). Some are mid-career and focused on optimizing every vest, minimizing the tax drag, and handling concentrated stock positions. Others are closing in on early retirement and need a plan that accounts for a 40+ year time horizon, bridging the gap before Medicare, and turning what they've built into income they won't outlive. We handle both sides of the equation.
I have 16 years of experience in financial services, including 13 years in the investment industry at J.P. Morgan and Cohen & Steers before starting my own firm. I'm a CFP and also hold the CFA designation, which is the gold standard credential for investing. My practice covers both financial planning and ongoing portfolio management, so nothing falls through the cracks between the plan and the implementation.
SWP charges a flat annual fee starting at $7,000 that covers everything: stock optimization, multi-year tax planning, early retirement income strategy, estate planning, and ongoing portfolio management. Most advisors charge a percentage of your investments (1%), which means your fee grows as your wealth grows, even if the advisor's work doesn't. SWP's model doesn't work that way.
If you want to know whether your current financial approach is actually working, we offer a free "Are You On Track" Snapshot. It's two meetings where we go through your full financial picture, model your goals, and show you exactly where the gaps are. No cost to you and no obligation to become a client to get the Snapshot.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
