Switching from Indyfin
Moving from Indyfin to Wealthtender is easy.
We help advisors & firms migrate from Indyfin, reviews included. Answers to questions we hear most:
Yes. We have helped multiple financial advisors transition from Indyfin to Wealthtender. Upon request, Indyfin provides advisors with a spreadsheet that includes the details of their client testimonials. As advisors leave Indyfin to join Wealthtender, we work with them to import their client testimonials to be displayed on their Wealthtender profile(s).
Yes. Financial advisors can join Wealthtender in less than 2 minutes by visiting our pricing page, choosing a monthly subscription option, and entering coupon code INDYFIN50 to receive 50% off the first two months. (And yes, even if you don’t currently have an Indyfin subscription but you made a concerted effort to scour the web to find this introductory discount to Wealthtender, consider your diligence rewarded.)
Indyfin charges $99 per month for a single advisor. Wealthtender’s Convert plan starts at $59 per month, roughly 40% less, and includes benefits Indyfin doesn’t offer, such as weekly opportunities to get quoted in the media and placement in specialist directories. Wealthtender’s Compound ($79/mo) and Command ($99/mo) plans add AI-Optimized FAQs, the Testimonial Marketing Studio™, Large Employer Q&A participation, and a Firm Focus Page, so even Wealthtender’s top plan matches Indyfin’s entry price while delivering substantially more. WiserAdvisor is a reputable lead gen platform and find-an-advisor service for consumers founded in 1998. Their leadership team has considerable industry experience and should be able to improve the Indyfin consumer and advisor experience in the years ahead. It will be interesting to see whether they maintain the Indyfin brand and website or roll the platform under the WiserAdvisor brand. In 2025, WiserAdvisor launched WiserAdvisor Growth, combining the lead gen benefits of WiserAdvisor with the client reviews of Indyfin.
Tools that enable consumers to submit Google Reviews introduce advisory firms to significant regulatory risk. In FINRA Regulatory Notice 17-18, FINRA offers guidance stating it does not regard unsolicited third-party opinions posted on a social network as communications of the broker-dealer or representative for purposes of Rule 2210. Based on this language, the act of solicitation triggers disclosure requirements not supported by the Google Reviews platform. Should SEC-registered investment advisors not subject to FINRA oversight expect a more lenient stance? We don’t believe so, and we don’t think it’s worth the risk.
We could update our platform tomorrow to enable consumers to submit their reviews to Google. That’s not the issue. We’re simply not in the business of doing it anyway and asking for forgiveness later. We designed our platform for full compliance with the SEC Marketing Rule. We’re not here to get cute or help advisors bend the rules; we’re here to empower advisors to abide by them and succeed with compliant testimonial marketing. Advisors with existing Google Reviews can import them to Wealthtender to convert them into compliant testimonials.
Yes, and this is one of the most significant differences between platforms today. Wealthtender profiles, reviews, and content are structured with schema markup on a high-authority domain that AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity cite when consumers research advisors. When a prospect asks an AI tool what clients say about you or who specializes in their situation, Wealthtender’s structured content is built to shape that answer. Learn how advisors get found in AI search.
